For gadget wise, It was quite a slow year though, I haven't been very active on blogging, nor catching up with tech news as I'm already jam-packed.
iPad Mini and Macbook Air are the only 2 main purchase I had. All I can say is iPad Mini is the iPad I have been waiting for. Size wise, I think it really make more sense to me than the regular 9.7" iPad. 13" Macbook Air is the best laptop I have ever use in my life, SSD really make a great difference.
What's on for 2013 then?
New Member to our Family!
Driving License finally(I hope so)
As usual, more blogging(I know I always don't)
More photo and video taking
Time Management as always.
Gadget wise, I have updated my buy list for 2013:
Apple Airport Extreme
Tamron 24-70 VC Canon Mount
External HDD for Macbook Air
iMac
Car?
That's all folks. May all of you will have a great 2013 and Happy New Year!
If you don't really understand the difference between all the HD formats available nowadays, Check out the above video. It helped me to understand 1080p, 720p and 1080i's differences.
Yup, so the quality should be rank in this way, 1080p highest then 720p and last will be 1080i. Don't know why? Check out the video.
Watched this documentary on YouTube, it was on History Channel and they were talking about the psychology of Batman. How Batman became batman, and things which happened to him, making him stronger and making him wanting to overcome his fear. Pretty interesting video.
I haven't been an Apple's fan for very long, close to 3 years? But the impact is much more than any other tech. Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, is one of the most successful leader in tech world. He is not just charismatic, but also a visionary. But we just lost such a great person.
Here's a quote from Steve Jobs at 2005:
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Check out the actual video of him giving the speech:
Truly amazing speech right? I can't held but to cry after watching. He is just so special. But I'm not the only person who was concern over his death.
This is UsingApple.com's traffic for the past few days:
Steve Jobs's death brought more traffic to my site than iPhone 4S's announcement. Steve Jobs is really the world's most famous and greatest CEO ever.
This is one of the most amazing solar powered hack I have ever seen. It only requires one 2 litres Pet Bottle, 10ml of Bleach, and a full bottle of clean, filtered water.
It will only be applicable if your house/garage is a single level, but this is the common style for people in 3rd world countries. This is changing life of people in many countries. Check out the video below:
Love Creative Video, This is really very creative and nicely shot. If you have played Portal or Portal 2 Game, you will love this video even more. Portal is about a "gun" which you can shot an entrance and an exit, you can be creative on how you create the door and the exit, and be able to achieve crazy impossible stunt. Check out the video, and check out the game if possible too!
